Great local spot on the side of the road. It is a step above a taco truck because it has a tent with tables and chairs as well as a waitress who will come around to take your order. For those who are unaware, "cabeza" translates to "head" in English so their main dish is cow head tacos. They also were offering cow tongue the day we were there. Little-to-no English is spoken by the employees, but basically all you need to know is how many tacos you want and if you would also like to have the soup. The soup was fantastic despite the hot temperatures outside so I definitely recommend trying it. The tacos were also loaded with meat and we could barely finish 2 each.

Is authentic mexican street food, with all the hygienic measures, it’s delicious!!! Great for a Sunday morning & to cure a hangover
Very delicious food, nice workers, and a chill environment. 10/10 would come again!
Let me preface this. The tacos where not unpalatable and perhaps if I wasn't spoiled by both the knowledge and saturation of now excellent street tacos places in the area this may have gotten a four. First the good. Excellent customer service. I was asked what I wanted to drink and when I asked for something that wasn't available they offered to go and get it off site. The consome was delicious, I should have used it as an a jus. Now the not so good. 14 dollars for 4 tacos with only a hint of flavor and an ok consome. The best part of my experience here was the consome. It's where all the flavor for their tacos went. The cabeza was bland aside from the flavor the fixings and the meat. The pastor was not only mostly bland but somehow the meat was dry despite being drenched. Felt kinda disappointed. If this is your closest option and you are on foot in the Phoenix summer, then maybe consider it. However at the price point and it being outdoors maybe opt for something else. Especially given the plethora of competition. If it's Taco Tuesday forget it so many place will be offering street tacos for a dollar and with better flavor.
I stopped here unintentionally after my usual taco spot was closed unexpectedly. I was on my way to another place and saw this taco stand on the side of the road. I decided to try it since it was right there next to me while I was stopped at the red light. Might as well, right? The options are cabeza, lengua, and birria tacos. I chose the cabeza, which also comes with consommé (broth). The tacos were delicious, meat was tender, and the consommé was also really good. I ate the consommé with the tacos and by itself like soup because it was that good. The tacos were $3 each and had the usual onions and cilantro topping, red salsa, green salsa and lime on the side. I would definitely eat there again. Try it out for yourself if you’re in the area and want something cheap and delicious to eat. They don’t have the usual carne asada or pollo tacos but these are just as good, promise.
This place was so good. The carne was tender and juicy enough said!
Hearwarming Consomé, unlocked memories as a native. Menu is simple but that is all you need if you consistently make Cabeza meat this fantastic. What makes this spot authentic is the “carreta”, reminds me of home. The last time we had Tacos de Cabeza this great was roughly 10 years ago back in Mexico. Accommodating and Friendly Service as soon we walked in. Will be back here when I visit Phoenix again.
